Vessel Valuation

We provide valuations for all types of vessels utilised by the offshore oil & gas, offshore renewable, subsea mining and international submarine telecom installation and maintenance markets. Our valuations vary from individual vessels or fleet valuations through to very specific projects supporting importation, salvage claims, stock market flotations and rights issues, taxation issues and financing proposals.

Since being established in 1976, Derrick Offshore have provided valuations for Shipowners, Contractors, Tax Authorities, Lawyers, Loss Adjusters, Banks, Investors, Leasing Companies and other Financial Institutions. Our valuations are relied upon by our range of clients to make important commercial decisions; great care is therefore taken in arriving at the final figure.

As a rule valuations are made on the basis that a vessel or unit is maintained according to good practice and meets class rules; however, on some cases clients have requested the inclusion of a physical inspection of the vessel in the valuation process. In this instance, we are able to make arrangements for one of our third party surveyors to visit the vessel and produce a detailed written report.
