Through our long standing relationships with yards worldwide we are able to assist clients with the shipbuilding process (newbuilds and conversions) including slot availability, yard tender and selection, drafting and negotiation of contracts and, where appropriate, contributing our specialist experience knowledge in the development of new concepts.
Defining the performance criteria is one of the essential first steps in acquiring any new tonnage. Our sister company, Optimum Marine Technology (Optimar), has the knowledge and experience to review charter contract requirements, liaise with ship owners' staff and transform the data into functional vessel performance criteria.
The combined technical and commercial skill of Optimar and Derrick Offshore enable a ship owner to achieve the desired technical outcome at a commercially acceptable price.
