Polar King & Viking Lady
After identifying the Viking Lady and Polar King as excellent conversion candidates, both vessels were converted into fully operational fibre-optic cable installation vessels against 5 year firm charter contracts from US company IT International Telecom. The vessels were renamed Oceanic Lady and Oceanic Viking prior to the enrolment into the worldwide cable fleet.
